Manbhavan Self Advocacy Trust
A registered public charitable trust formed by forty self-advocates on 17 September 2025 (Reg. No. 2025/4/IV/2121; NGO DARPAN DL/2025/0836871). It grew from Manbhavan Mitr Mandali, an online circle of friends that began in the 2020 lockdown and was formally constituted on 22 August 2022. Members produced the Easy Read Guidance for Accessibility in 2022 and have reviewed Easy Read documents ever since. Manbhavan owns the Easy Read India name, the Review Panel, the seal and every validation record. Principle: Nothing about us without us. Nothing for us without us. Increasingly, led by us.
Manovikas Charitable Society and MIHE
Manovikas has worked with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Delhi since 1997 across seven schools, including the RCI-approved Manovikas Institute of Higher Education. Manovikas incubates Manbhavan: premises, professional expertise, safeguarding, digital systems, research and fund-raising. Manovikas supports Manbhavan; Manovikas does not speak instead of Manbhavan. Self-advocates from Manbhavan sit on the Manovikas Governing Board.
The Digital Accessibility & Cognitive Inclusion Lab
Run by MIHE with CSR support from Cognex Sensors India Pvt. Ltd. (April 2026 – March 2027), the Lab builds the Easy Read knowledge system, this platform and its courses, the impact dashboard, and the validation workflow. Its deliverable is the Manbhavan-owned Easy Read India programme.
