The State Easy Read Hub pilot
Model: New South Wales Easy Read Hub (launched 2024; 64 pages; reported 91,000 views in a month with 74.8% engagement), co-produced with the Council for Intellectual Disability. Offer to a State: 12 priority documents in 12 months, State-branded, validated by Manbhavan, published on the State site and here, with a co-produced State Easy Read style guide folded into existing web guidelines.
Adopt a document
Any document in the library that belongs to your department can be adopted as your official Easy Read version at no cost. We add your emblem, you host it, the validation record travels with it.
The ask
- Recognise validated Easy Read as an accessible format for persons with IDD under Section 42.
- Reference the Sahaj Standard under Section 40 and in GIGW.
- Fund conversion of priority documents through State hubs, with paid validation by self-advocates.
