Why “plain language” is not enough
Plain language simplifies words. Easy Read adds a picture for every idea, a layout built for readers with intellectual disability, and — the decisive step — a check by those readers. Under Section 2(y) of the RPwD Act, “communication” includes plain-language and augmentative formats; a validated Easy Read document is the evidence that you provided one.
